Glynn County Police Announces Restructuring
Chief of Police Battiste and Assistant Chief Evans are pleased to announce our continuing and ongoing efforts to build the new Glynn County Police Department. Today, GCPD would like to highlight organizational changes and appointments of Command Staff to Your GCPD.
Over the coming weeks, Your Glynn County Police will realign from three to four divisions. This restructuring will continue our progress forward and allow us to better meet future challenges of a modern professional law enforcement agency. The changes made today will allow commanders to narrow their focus and is designed to achieve greater accountability and efficiency. The mission of this agency is to enhance public safety and better serve our citizens and community in everything we do, these changes and continuing efforts to regain CALEA and GACP certification, are just one more step on the path forward to a safer Glynn County for all citizens.
Chief Battiste would like to announce that Assistant Chief Evans will continue in his current role as second-in-command with the primary responsibility of day-to-day GCPD operations. The following appointments are being made to the Command Staff.
Captain Keith Stalvey- Patrol
Captain Jeremiah Bergquist- Investigations
Captain Resden Talbert- Support Services
Captain Michael Robinson- Administration
Captain Stalvey is a 23-year veteran of GCPD and has served in every division of the GCPD. Captain Stalvey will continue as Patrol Commanding Officer.
Captain Bergquist is a 15-year veteran of GCPD and will continue to lead the Investigations Division.
Captain Talbert has served with GCPD for 13 years and will assume command of the newest division, Support Services.
Captain Robinson is our newest officer and joins GCPD this week. Captain Robinson will assume command of the Administrative Division. Captain Robinson has over 25 years as Federal Law Enforcement Officer and is a veteran of the U.S. Army and Maryland National Guard where he served at the rank of Captain. Captain Robinson started his law enforcement career as a Special Agent for the Office of the Inspector General for the Social Security Administration, with long term detail assignments with both the U.S. Secret Service and FBI. He has served in the positions of Special Agent-in-Charge, Assistant Inspector General for Technology and Resource Management and Assistant Inspector General for Investigations, where he oversaw and directed all OIG internal and external investigative activities across the U.S. and its territories related to fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement. As the Assistant Inspector General for Investigations, Captain Robinson managed 3 Headquarters Divisions and 10 Field Divisions, which included over 300 Special Agents and over 200 local task
