High-Speed Chase Ends in Tasing

A police chase that started in Camden County and reached speeds up to 104 miles per hour ended with the driver of the car tased and apprehended.

A kidnapping was reported to Camden County 911 around 7:30pm. A white male was reported to have stolen a Kia Sorrento from a Friendly Express with a child still in the car. The driver led police up highway 17 into Glynn County where Glynn Police and Sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit. The vehicle crashed near 17 and Buckswamp Road and the driver had to be tased by police before he could be arrested. The child in the car was checked out but suffered no major injuries.
